BREAKING NEWS: Carnival Celebration Hit by Fierce……

The Carnival Celebration cruise ship encountered a heavy rainstorm on March 31, 2025, delaying its departure from Miami by 15 minutes. The ship, originally scheduled to set sail at 4:00 PM for a weeklong Eastern Caribbean cruise, finally departed at 4:15 PM. Despite the weather, there was no official announcement about the delay.

According to Dennis Post from PostCard Travel Planning, crew members worked quickly to prevent water from entering various decks, even using towels to block doorways on Deck 18. As per maritime regulations, the captain sounded the ship’s horn every two minutes due to poor visibility. Additionally, five short blasts were heard at one point, signaling danger as crossing yachts were in the channel.

Carnival Celebration, led by Captain Rino Costanza, is part of Carnival’s XL Class. Built in 2022, it measures 1,130 feet in length, weighs 183,521 gross tons, and accommodates up to 8,375 people, including 6,630 guests and 1,745 crew members. The ship features 2,682 staterooms.

Despite the storm, the ship safely embarked on its planned journey, with stops in Puerto Plata, Amber Cove, Dominica, San Juan, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
