Since sustaining a hamstring injury early in Burton Albion’s 1-0 home loss on December 4, Poku has not been seen in action.
Prior to his injury, he had made 17 appearances in League One, contributing 10 goals and seven assists.
In the 11 games Poku has missed, Posh have only managed to accumulate nine points, but the 24-year-old is anticipated to make an early comeback.
“Kwame is the best player in League One, so of course we have missed him,” MacAnthony stated in an interview with his “Hard Truth” podcast.

He is crucial to us; if he had been available, we might have won an additional ten points. It would be like Liverpool losing Salah if Kwame were to leave.
“But Kwame is recovering quicker than we expected and he could be back in the third week of February.”
Posh are at Stevenage for a League One fixture on February 15 before finishing a run of four consecutive away games at Huddersfield in February 22.
