There have been some big hits with Paul Nardi and Jonathan Varane impressing, but others haven’t hit the ground running quite as hoped.
Among them is Hevertton, who has found limited opportunities at right-back and when those chances have come, he hasn’t offered enough to nail down a place. No doubt a promising player, but the Rs have needed defenders who are ready to go.
Now, just a matter of months after bringing him in, it seems Hevertton’s future lies away from QPR.
Portuguese reporter Sebastiao Sousa Pinto has said on X that the 23-year-old right-back is set for a move to Liga Portugal side Vitoria SC.
He’ll sign on loan initially, though there will be an option to make the move permanent in place.
The final details of the proposed move are now being ironed out before a medical and the official signing of his contract.
His physical profile and versatility made him a solid target and he had fared well on the rise through the Portuguese leagues.

Ultimately though, the step to the Championship proved a step too far for him and he struggled to impress in his limited appearances.
Overall, he heads out having played just nine times for Marti Cifuentes’ side, scoring once. He has not played since November 9th and has been out of the matcha squads completely for more than a month now.
The loan-to-buy deal means his Rs career isn’t necessarily over, but there is a chance he’s played his last game in the blue and white hoops.
There is scope for more departures from QPR before the window slams shut next Monday, but Cifuentes and co will be hoping to keep the core of his squad together.
Of those on the fringes, Elijah Dixon-Bonner is one who could head out, while there are youngsters who could benefit from loans for game time.
However, the priority will be keeping the group together amid improved fortunes over recent months. Jimmy Dunne has interest from Sheffield United but he’s one of several defenders on their radar, so time will tell if the Hoops’ resolve is tested.
