Scott Lindsey, who hopes to defeat rivals AFC Wimbledon and restart MK Dons’ season on Saturday, says revenge is best served at Stadium MK.
With just one victory in the last eight games and three straight losses against the south London team, the Dons are now in the midst of a terrible run of play.
Lindsey has only experienced the rivalry once, when his team lost to MK1 in the FA Cup’s first round on home turf in November.
With the run his side are on, Lindsey said this Saturday’s clash is the perfect opportunity for the players to get themselves out of their current rut by getting one over their biggest rivals.
He declared, “It’s the best game we could hope to have next.” “I am aware of how important this game is to everyone in this place, especially the players and staff.
In many respects, we believe we seek retribution. We’re totally focused on it, and I need to choose a side that I think will be capable of winning. We’re giving it everything we’ve got.
“Because we’re in such poor form, could this be the game we turn it around? Let’s hope so.”
Following Tuesday’s loss to Fleetwood Town, Lindsey stated that his team shouldn’t require any additional inspiration to perform better on Saturday than they would on any other day.
However, he emphasized that the derby match was still very significant and that the player would understand its significance.

He went on: “We have to give it our all every minute we’re wearing an MK Dons uniform, whether it’s training or playing gear. And in order to get better, we must give it everything we have. Every game must be played with everything on the line, whether it’s AFC Wimbledon at home, Bromley away, or Morecambe away.
“This game serves as a means for me to ensure that we can turn the corner. It’s one we can employ in this fantastic game. It’s the best game after this, in my opinion.
