At the time of writing, the 40-year-old has led the Chairboys to second place in League One, been nominated for three Manager of the Month awards this season, and won it twice.
He has also taken the Adams Park team to the third round of the League Cup in three seasons and the FA Cup fourth round for the first time in four years.
Due to his outstanding first half of the season, he was connected to a November position at Coventry City, but Frank Lampard was hired instead.
And now that Rob Edwards has left the Hatters, Bloomfield’s name is on a list of possible contenders once more.

After the team’s 2-0 victory over Portsmouth on January 10, he stated: “It’s flattering because you don’t get linked to other jobs if you’re doing poorly, and it’s nice to be talked about, but nothing is going to divert my attention from this.”
“Over the past 21-and-a-half years, I have given this club everything, and I will continue to do so because I am really enthusiastic about my work.
“I make every effort to convey my excitement and passion to the players.”
Following the Chairboys’ elimination of the 2008 champions at Adams Park, he made these remarks.
They are now eligible to compete in the fourth round, which is scheduled for January 12.
He then on: “I’m just thrilled to be a part of the FA Cup.”
“I simply want to be a part of the FA Cup, but sometimes you can get sucked into the hype around your league form.
“It feels fantastic to end on a high after a challenging and hectic run of games.
We played Portsmouth in a crucial match, and I was anxious to win and advance.
