The versatile defender has been valued at £800,000 by Brommapojkarna, despite Aberdeen’s desire to move him to Pittodrie.
According to Record Sport, Jimmy Thelin is reportedly considering a number of possibilities in the transfer market, including him, given the Dons’ present center-back dilemma.
Only Angus MacDonald is fit for Sunday’s Hearts match since Gavin Molloy is out due to injury and Slobodan Rubezic is suspended following his red card against Motherwell last weekend.
Although the Reds and the Swedish team have previously had discussions, it is still unclear whether an agreement can be reached. For the move to take place, Brommapojkarna would need to lower their valuation.
The Danish defender, who began his professional career with Vejle before moving on to Fredericia, is a versatile player who may be a valuable addition to Thelin’s team as a midfielder or full back on either side.
The 23-year-old has been at Brommapojkarna since 2023. The Premiership club would be keen to make the move but not at the current levels that are being quoted.
Aberdeen have, however, made Jeppe Okkels their first signing of the January window. The winger, who previously played for Thelin at Elfsborg, has joined from Preston on loan with an option.
Latvian captain Kristers Tobers from Grasshoppers remains an active central defensive target.
