Following consecutive championship campaigns that saw the Ammies move up from Step 6 to Step 4 of the non-league structure, Goldrick departs the NPL West Division team.
He left the team after they lost to local rivals Wythenshawe Town 2-0 on Boxing Day, leaving them three points from safety and in the bottom four.
“I’ve given everything to this club for the last few years, and it’s time to give some time back to me and the family now,” Goldrick stated in response to his decision to resign.
“I haven’t made this decision lightly. With the resources at our disposal, the club and I have accomplished incredible things.
It’s time for everyone to support the team when they need it most, so I’ll be down cheering them on in the upcoming weeks. I wish everyone the best of luck in the future.
I will return after taking a little break.
Applications for the managerial position have been closed by Wythenshawe, and Goldrick’s replacement will be announced in the next several days.
On January 4, the Ammies return to action as they host Vauxhall Motors, who are vying for promotion, at Hollyhedge Park.
